Ancient mariners used sails to capture the wind and explore the world. Farmers once used windmills to grind their grains and pump water. Today, more and more people are using wind turbines to wring electricity from the breeze. Over the past decade, wind turbine use has increased at more than 25 percent a year. Still, it only provides a small fraction of the world’s energy.

Retro-Mcdonald’s

Retro-Mcdonald's

This McDonald’s is very retro. Inside it has jukebox selectors at the tables, a jukebox with bubbles, 2 tables made from old cars, and a very nostalgic feel. Outside the arches are very unique (I don’t know if this was what the first ones looked like). Visiting this McDonald’s is very interesting and worth the stop. It is on 1st Ave by the Valley Mall. Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The falls drops in two major steps, split into an upper falls of 542 feet (165 m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21 m), with a gradual 9 foot (3 m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet (189 m). Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the State of Oregon. It is credited by a sign at the site of the falls as the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States but that claim is debated among waterfall experts.
